For lunch they only have one bowl optionsfor 8$, and dinner is ayce and its like 11 bucks I think.
This is posted, but simply used to deter people from wasting food. I've never seen nor heard of anyone being charged for this.
First time eating here, and this is the best Mongolian Bbq I've ever had.
Great for a treat if you have a lunch break. It seems like you're cheating on your diet, but the food is fresh and can be be healthy. The wait staff is attentive and the prices are reasonable. My only complaint is I wish they had tofu and broccoli!
Love the place and the people, really nice and friendly people.
$10.95 for all you can eat is a pretty good deal when compared to Orange County.
Nice, i thought you had to go all the to Roseville for Mongolian BBQ. Nope, right in old town Auburn!
A local legend in my opinion. Great selection at a great price. The staff are wonderful as well. Definitely a great place to go!
Finally tried it and won't be rushing back. It seems kid friendly as they have the soft serve for dessert. The wok "chefs" were mopping when I went up and didn't wash their hands between mopping and cooking. I found the all you can eat thing confusing also as we were charged for all you can eat but then were only allowed one bowl. Also, note the giant wok chopsticks are set on the floor on the ends when not in use. Pretty gross. I like the old school decor. Reminded me of Chinese places in the 70s.
A family favorite! Good food, good service. Been going here for years.
Fantastic and yummy food, I like the vibes this spot has, and the workers were super nice. I will definitely visit here again.
Good food good service
I told my friends about this place with my highest recommendations. I go their often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the cooking is tasty and the crew is welcoming and cooperative. Every time we eat in this place we have a gorgeous evening. I recommend this place with pleasure.
It's a great place to eat. Staff is friendly and kind very helpful too.
This is the best place to have Mongolian BBQ ever! I came in to Auburn to visit some family and stopped here because I couldn't believe it was still here and we just bought some food and it is still the best place I have ever had Mongolian BBQ.
GK Mongolian is 100 times better. Fresher ingredients, happier employees. Just over all a better establishment. I won't be going back here...I'll make the drive for a better experience and better food for my money.
I dont know what it is, but there is sum thing great about this place
Such a delicious and later back place to eat. Great food.
I have been going here for years!!! Hands down, this is the best service that you will ever receive!!!
Great service. Fried Wonton strips with sweet n sour sauce, egg flower soup, white rice, and then one bowl of whatever you want. Very good food overall.
I have been to Mongolian Restaurants in San Jose CA, Tucson AZ, and Spokane Valley WA. SUM'S is by far the BEST! The only bummer is they only offer Lamb on the dinner menu. 30+ years of eating at Sum's. Four generations of Family members. 👍
Our favoite place to eat when passing through Auburn.
The food and service are always great. Never a disappointment. I highly recommend enjoying yourself with friends and family along with the delicious food of your own making.
Once again a fantastic place to go and have some good Chinese food all you can eat not even give you a picture
Great custom food, just avoid the lunch rush from the local high school.
Very good! You go through a line and pick your meat, veggies, noodles and at the end they give you suggested sauce recipies but you can make it to your tastes. Was amazing! My only complaint was they cooked mine on the grill with another bowl and theirs was spicy and that made mine spicy but really it's not bad, especially if you're aware of that before hand and ask them about it. The service was good and the staff friendly. Was kind of expensive- $12/ person but was worth it!
This is my favorite restaurant and food. Infinity stars!!
By nature of Mongolian restraunts the food is largely dictated on your knowledge of ingredients and ratios you use. Despite my limited knowledge i somehow wound up mixing together a wonderful dinner. The food was great, the service was also great and friendly. The price is more than fair. The restaurant is in a fun part of town. I guess my one critique would be the restaurant could use some renovations but I had a great meal with family and look forward to going back.
I love it! The service is magnificent! And the food is so delicious!!! 💗🍜😋
Love momgolian SO YUM
I have been here so many times and it's consistently great. Crowded in Friday night but that's to be expected. Yummy!
The place offers a nice variety of fresh food. I enjoyed eating here. The employees are always very nice, rates are affordable and the spot is always neat.
Love this place! I've been coming here for 18 years, and hope for many more in the future.
Very well worth it! Second bowl better then my first but the chef listened about how I like mine cooked and much better! Will come again!
Sums Mongolian is a favorite restaurant for locals and tourists, located on Auburn's lovely Town Square. The food is delicious, and cooked on a huge open grill, the chefs are outstanding, and fun to watch. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Just go here that's all I should need to say. Best experience is pay for the dinner but for take out pack up on everything have your second bowl you fill only with sauces and have them cook it up. After you get outside just find a nice place in downtown Auburn enjoy the scenery and eat some sum's Mongolian barbecue.
Best food in Auburn by far, me and my wife go there at least once every two weeks
This is the place to go for good service and indulgance at a great price. All you can eat with appetizers and a small bowl of egg flower soup and soft serve ice cream to finish. Know that this is not the authentic Chinese food that you think you'll get in SF but a place you can take nearly anyone. A big bowl of noodles and/veggies with meat freshly served with ingredients you choose
Great place, you sever yourself and it doesn't take to long
Great food, friendly customer service, reasonable price. They were extremely busy but everything went well.
We've been going there for years. Absolutely a great place to eat!
Always great food. Wish the high school kids were a little more respectful of the food prep line and didn't make such a mess of the place.
Stopped by for a solo dinner on a Saturday night recently. They didn't have too much seating that wasn't packed with groups but they were able to pull a table together for me in between the booths. Like most Mongolian grills, it was a fill your bowl full and they stir fry it up at the end of the line. The disappointment came with the limited or lacking selections of ingredients. They didn't have chicken, only one size of noodle (extremely large), and limited vegetables. Their chefs worked efficiently and cooked the food thoroughly. It was also a bit expensive considering it was dine in and not take away. The meal was good but I just wasn't left with a great impression to go above 3 stars.
Been coming here since I was in moms belly. So bomb. Godly mongo
My favorite Mongolian BBQ of all time. Best noodles around and best staff. Don't forget the soft serve ice cream.
Love the staff they are super friendly and always so nice! Not to mention they have the best mongo food in town!!!
Great Mongolian grill. They have all the standard options you could want in a build your own and all of it is good quality. The owners and employees are all very nice as well.
We've been going to this place since it first opened. Have never had a bad experience here. We love this place. Everyone get to pick their own food items and the kids seem to eat better since they were able to make their own creation. Delicious!
Terrible I go here all the time with the kids on family night. I’ve Been disappointed twice now. One was nasty meet and the second was a Togo order and after I got home relished there was no rice. So I called and I quote yes full price and we ran out or rice and hung up on me when I was being very polite. Too bad this place has gone down hill
Love this place. The staff are friendly, prices are fair, and food is delicious.
I miss the fried wonton and flower soup with the meal.. I used to eat at Mongolian often when I was back home in Auburn. Still good, but will be better once in door dining is reestablished.
We love going there my husband grew up in the area. Everyone is so nice there I highly recommend going there everything is fresh. I can't wait to go there again.
